As part of his 1984 Canadian tour, Pope John Paul II visited St. Joseph’s Basilica, where he led an Evening Prayer service attended by people of many faith traditions. This video recalls the visit through the eyes of Most Rev. Joseph MacNeil, Archbishop Emeritus of Edmonton, who served as host for the pope’s Edmonton visit. The video was publicly premiered on February 1st, 2014 at the centenary celebration of the Basilica Parish. It is the first of three being produced in honour of the upcoming canonization of Blessed John Paul II
